Tour to Machu Picchu, Peru - 2005
Mary Ellen Santa Monica, California I would like to express my appreciation to Miguel Sarria for making my vacation to Peru the trip of a lifetime. You are guaranteed a safe journey with an experienced guide like Miguel. You will feel challenged without too great a feeling of danger.
He was always well-equipped and made sure I was comfortable and well taken care of. The delightful hot shower he arranged when I arrived was just one example of his attention to the comfort and needs of his clients. We always had excellent meals and accommodations and the trekking areas to the magnificent landscape of Machu Picchu and the sites in the Sacred Valley were superb. Fortunately, we had very agreeable weather and Miguel had advised us well on the proper gear and clothing to bring.
Since Miguel was born in Peru, he has intimate knowledge of the Incas and the native people and he was able to help us understand the intricacies of the food, belief systems and the rhythms of life in Peru.
Miguel taught us some Kojosho martial arts techniques which made my body strong, flexible, and increased my balance and space awareness. This came in very handy in the type and amount of trekking we did. Since I also practice Pranic Healing and meditation, I found that the spiritual energy of Peru to be especially powerful, and it was really special and satisfying to be able to meditate as we watched the sun rise in the beauty of the nature of Machu Picchu.
I am thankful I was given the opportunity to share this experience and I believe that it helped me to appreciate the gifts of one of nature’s most powerful and special places and Miguel’s abilities as a tour guide certainly greatly enhanced my experience.
Tour to Exuma, Bahamas – 2006
Joan Eyre Mobile, Alabama My trip to Exuma was one of the most profound natural experiences I have ever had. The islands are just gorgeous with endless amazing sites. The tranquility of the trip helped me get in touch with my survival skills while camping beneath a blanket of stars every night. As an artist, I absorbed immense amounts of natural beauty, been able to take over 600 pictures to add to my collection. The sunsets were overwhelming. Wow!
You can see some of my paintings on my website.
Even though I worked-out, prepared physically for the trip, and the fact that I am an intermediate Sea Kayaker, Kayaking in Exuma was much easer than I expected. The calm weather cooperated in making the paddling relaxing and full of fun. Miguel was a very responsible guide navigating very accurately in between the islands, taking us to superb white beaches. He was patient and fun, paddling into tiny little beaches though the mangrove making for a very comfortable pace. His experience made me feel totally safe and comfortable throughout the trip. His “What to Bring” list was key in making the trip very comfortable and joyful.
I believe that everyone should take a tour like this at least once in their lifetime. I want to thank Miguel for sharing his trekking and healing knowledge with us.
Gracias Miguel
