The Exuma and Ragged islands, located in the center of the Bahamas, are a chain of over 360 sandy cays and islands. They stretch over 120 miles, creating a barrier of emerald stones between Exuma Sound by the Atlantic—with depths of over 1,800 meters, and the quite waters of the Great Bahama Bank and the Brigantine banks—which are merely a few meters deep. Geologically, these islands are remains of a giant underwater mountain range of limestone carved and molded by the rhythms of the ocean and the coral reefs.
The names of these jewels come from Spanish and indigenous origins. The first evidence of English settlers goes back to the early 1700s with both Hog Cay and Exuma being granted to individuals by the Crown Government.
Today Exuma is located 65 miles southeast of Nassau, a 90 minute flight time from South Florida. Pristine and unspoiled were Mother Nature still reigns supreme. Exuma treats you to some of the most quiet and picturesque experiences in the midst of one of the bluest waters on planet earth. You will find biodiversity as well as areas of pure aesthetic beauty.

 Your guide to the white sands and pristine waters of Exuma is Miguel Sarria an experienced traveler who has Kayaked Exuma since 2004. As a navigator he has sailed, fished and dive the Mediterranean and Caribbean Sea, and the Pacific Ocean since his youth. Miguel will share his experiences of the sea and sites, and guide you through a personal journey to reconnect with Mother Nature and your inner self.
His talents come from his understanding of the universe and the ability to see the impact of the environment on our bodies, healing, and our need to reconnect. Miguel spent a year living in the Amazon learning from the natives the essence of their connection to nature. Since 1977 Miguel has practiced the art of Shiatsu massage, and Macrobiotics. He is a practitioner of the martial arts technique, Kojosho and he has become a Certified Pranic Healing practitioner. All of these experiences Miguel embodies will help on your spiritual journey through allowing life to unfold in this beautiful setting.

It is recommended that the participant have Kayaking experience.
If you do not have Kayaking experience but want to participate in this amazing trip, please find a local Kayaking club or course to acquire experience.
In addition, we highly recommend that you workout on a Fitness/Stability Ball to assist you in gaining strength and balance for working with Kayaking. This technique develops your smaller muscle structure strength to enhance equilibrium. Enhancing your physical fitness level in this and other manners will give you the strength and confidence to better enjoy this adventure that will transform your Soul to the core.
